Working toward a more virtuous future.

Safety & Measure N

We were sold a bill of good in 2018 with Measure N. A promise of nearly $58M toward police and fire. Now in 2026 Measure N brings in over $110M/yr and we find ourselves drowning in rampant drug use with hundreds people on the streets, a dwindling police force (28 officers lost so far this year) and fire department that is stretched thin. All the while our City government is asking them to make massive budget cuts in the next 5 years.

Measure N must be used for its intended purpose: Police & Fire.

No more using Measure N to subsidize the General Fund, built sports complexes, support political organizations.

This measure was intentionally written with such vague language that it can and has been used for nearly anything. Measure N must be reformed.

Transparency & Conflicts of Interest

The sad truth is that we live in a fallen world. Our leadership is more concerned with looking good rather than doing good and has lost sight of right and wrong, truth and lies.

I believe that we can handle the truth, that we must demand a virtue higher than what the law requires and that we can no longer stand for the corruption we find imbedded in our city and county.

  • No government official should sit on the board of any NGO that is funded with tax-payer money. This is conflict of interest.

  • No government contracts should go the companies of government officials. This is a conflict of interest.

  • Similarly, no NGO’s should give contracts to the businesses of the their board members. This is a conflict of interest.

Are these things illegal? No. Are they right? Absolutely NOT.

Our city stewards city, state, and federal grants. Our City Council awards these grants-none of our taxes should go to organizations that practice this kind of immoral behavior. We must expect something more from our city leaders. Something more virtuous than the law requires.

In our homes and businesses if we don’t have enough for the necessities we don’t go out and buy the next shiny thing we see. We cannot fund endeavors that do not produce results as the expense of our core responsibilities as a City Government:

  • Safety

  • Infrastructure (ie. the sewer)

  • Financial Administration

We will not fund virtue-signaling ventures that DO NOT produce positive outcomes at the expense of our core responsibilities.
